Nars Narsissist Palette

When this palette came out, I knew I had to have it! I only own a few of their duo and single eyeshadows and they are one of the most pigmented and buttery shadows I own

The Nars Narsissist Palette is a great palette to own if you love Nars shadows but unfortunately not all the shadows are as blendable and can come across a little chalky.

IMAG0503 copy

L-R: All About Eve I (flesh toned neutrals), Madrague II (matte caramel), Fez (velvety cocoa), Bali (neutral), Coconut Grove (deep brown infused with reflections)

L-R: Madrague I (matte cream), Nepal (soft sheer rose), Ashes to Ashes (shimmery violet based brown), Brousse II (black violet), Mekong (espresso infused with gold

L-R: Bellissima I (shimmering beige with subtle glitter), Lhasa (lavender grey), Bad Behavior (deep pewter), Dogon II (charcoal black), Pandora II (matte black)

Fez, Ashes to Ashes and Lhasa are my favourite shades from this palette since I have nothing like them in my collection and they are also amazingly pigmented and buttery.

I had a bit of trouble with some of the lighter shades showing up on my skintone as well as the darkest matte black shadow Pandora was definitely a hard one to blend seamlessly and needed a lot of work to get right.

Overall this palette is not completely worth the buy though I am happy to have some of the colours now in my collection. I suggest buying the single and duo permanent eyeshadows in Fez, Ashes to Ashes and Lhasa as they are amazing all over the lid!

NARS Lips!

Nars has to be my favourite brand for anything lip related! They are just impeccably formulated and have an amazing selection of colours to suit any skintone. I don’t even have trouble with bleeding with any of their darker colours.

Nars Lipsticks: Comes in satin and sheer formulas and are reasonably moisturising on the lips.

L-R: Niagra, Tolede, Blonde Venus, Heat Wave, Schiap

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils
Are not completely drying on the lips except for the lighter colours. Lets you skip the step of a lipliner.

L-R: Red Square, Mysterious Red

Nars Satin Lip Pencils
: Favourite of the bunch! Colour pay off is amazing and have a very wearable slight gloss finish. Plus they last alllllll day EVEN after eating! I am not even joking.

L-R: Biscayne Park, Lodhi, Rikugien, Yu, Luxembourg

L-R: Niagra, Tolede, Blonde Venus, Heat Wave, Schiap

L-R: Mysterious Red, Red Square, Luxembourg, Yu, Rikugien, Lodhi, Biscayne Park

Favourites of the bunch: Niagra, Tolede, Luxembourg, Rikugien, Red Square

Sephora Haul!

A month a go I received a little voucher code for 10% at Sephora when I became a VIB member. I thought to myself, why should this go to waste? So once again, I went on another Sephora binge!

I used HopShopGo to get it all to me since I live in Sydney. Boy did it get here fast!

The products I purchased are as follows:

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Urban Decay Naked Skin Liquid Makeup in 3.0
Urban Decay Naked Skin Loose Finishing Powder in Light
Urban Decay All-Nighter Long Lasting Finishing Spray
Nars Narsissist Eyeshadow Palette
Anastasia DipBrow Pomade in Dark Brown
Marc Jacobs Genius-Gel Foundation in 22 Light Bisque
Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light
Beautyblender Solid
Ren Rosa Centifola Cleansing Balm
Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic and Retinol Moisturiser
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day

I’m absolutely in love with everything I purchased from the texture and longevity of the foundations to the pigmentation and softness of the eyeshadow palettes.

Though there is a clear winner which is the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade! I have had so much trouble with brow products fading throughout the day and this will not budge! The colour is perfect and it has made the world of a difference whenever I am doing my eye makeup.

If you would like in-depth reviews on any of the products above, please let me know because I can go on and on about each and every product.

Stay safe kids x

HopShopGo – Brilliant!

I have used various third-party forwarding services including ShipItTo and PriceUSA but HopShopGo takes the cake!

I was first a bit weary since reviews for HSG said Sephora will not ship to their warehouse anymore, but to my surprise my package made it here without a hitch.

You may purchase direct from the U.S. website and ship it to the HSG warehouse address when it prompts you to. Or you could choose the BuyForMe service and they will purchase on your behalf (this only needs to be used if your credit card does not work on the direct website and there are additional costs).

Once the package has arrived at the HSG warehouse you can choose to consolidate, repack or wait 30 days until other packages come.

Then you can post it out to your home address from there and choose the shipping method you desire. By the time you know it, it is literally at your doorstep!

I chose to purchase through Sephora directly so I could earn points and get a few samples too. The great thing about the warehouse being in Portland, Oregon is that there is no TAX!

It took about two days for Sephora to ship to HSG and as soon as it arrived they gave me an update and also had a scan copy of the billing information making sure everything was in the box and ticked off.

I chose the cheapest shipping method and also got 10% off with my PayPal account. There were then a few extra fuel and insurance charges which were only a couple dollars or so.

They shipped my items through FedEx which included tracking. It says it would have taken 6-8 working days but it ONLY took 5 working days which was RIDICULOUS! I couldn’t imagine how fast it would have been with express shipping.

It will differ depending on what country you are shipping to but for Australia the shipping costs are as follows:

  • First 500g – $24
  • 1kg – $28
  • 1.5kg – $32
  • 2kg – $36

For every extra 500g it will be an additional $4. My package was 3.5kg and the shipping came up to $49

Overall, I was genuinely amazed with how easy it was to shop and the incredible communication they had from start to finish. The shipping was incredibly fast and the shipping costs were very reasonable.

Please let me know of your experiences with HSG or any other forwarding services because I think I am probably going to stick with these guys.
